We’re in Mexico. Today I convinced the kids to play in the ocean instead of the pool. A few waves in the face later, and they were both yelling, “I love the ocean!!”
We got out and built a sandcastle. Having a grand time until Cora screeched, oblivious to the people around us, “Ahhh! I have sand in my butt!! Mommy, there is sand in MY BUTT!!!”

“OK, let’s get in the ocean and rinse it off.”

She looked at me with a combination  of disbelief and anger… “Mommy! The ocean is what PUT IT THERE!”
